My name is Noni Aminah Vaughn. I was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota but have mainly been raised here in Atlanta, Georgia.  I’ve always had a talent for art.  I taught myself how to draw at age 3 and have been doing art ever since. I started doing robotics at age 11 and it has forever changed my life in terms of what I value and my worldviews. I was a founding member of an all-girls robotics club called EVE Robotics. Our job was to build robots to compete with hundreds of other teams to advance to higher competing levels. I took much pride in being a girl who was a mechanical engineer and that knew Javascript. Being a part of an all-girls robotics team allowed me to grow stronger relationships with the girls on my team and value true teamwork. I began to feel empowered as a woman in the STEM field. It opened new doors of interest. I am now passionate about going into biomedical engineering as well as mechanical engineering. This is also what led me to Agnes Scott. I felt like I would gain that same sense of teamwork and support as I did while on my robotics team. I knew Agnes Scott would support me every step of the way!
